january trees for katie

I decided not to paper piece my trees, but I think they still turned out ok. I love the top block and it turned out just as I had envisioned in my head. The second block involved a lot of picking and re-sewing and I still don't love it. Katie, I won't feel bad if it doesn't quite make the cut or is relegated to the back :)

  1. Ooh - I love them! I love how in both of them the trees seem to be leaning a bit - as if they're swaying in the wind. I love the top one, too, and the bottom one is funky - in a good way. I will definitely use them both. This is my first bee, and already it's even better than expected. I got a package in the mail from Bonnie yesterday and got to see these on the blog today. It's like Christmas every day - but even better - since it's craft related.

Barb, thanks so much for figuring out the enlarging for the paper-pieced blocks. I was working on a couple of last minute gifts and hadn't got a chance to look into it yet.

  2. Oh, I am so glad you like them,it is really hard to know exactly what someone else has in mind for their fabric!

  3. Love your blocks, Liz! The second one is actually my favorite.
